International Project Management Association， also knowed as IPMA, had held an
online award ceremony and published the IPMA award result on October 31st,
2020. The project of Bangladesh Payra 2X660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired
power station first stage had won the IPMA mega-sided project silver award,
which is the highest award for energy industry in this year.
IPMA, originated in 1964, is the professional project management
organization. This association is aiming at promoting the sharing,
communication, and practise of advance project management philosophy,and have
evaluated excellent project management award from 2002. Up to now IPMA award has
been the most famous and the most recognazable international management award. It
is also hornoured as the Oscar award in project management industey, the highest
level honor for international project management. Every year many different
project from different country would compete for the grand award.
Bangladesh Payra Project is the largest capacity
single unit power plant in Bangladesh now. it has great implications for relieving
power supply shortage, improving local energy structure and ennergy utilization
efficiency. Meanwhile it also has great singnificance for developing local
economy and improving people's livelihood.
